Below are some commonly asked questions in an easy to find place!
Do you offer prints or products?
I personally offer digital portraits through your online gallery via Shoot Proof. You do have the option to purchase products through a Photo Lab that Shootproof and I work through. This company offers canvas, prints, magnets, and much more.
Do you offer payment plans?
I do offer payment plans depending on the session and circumstance. You are welcome to speak to me directly regarding this situation.
What is required for a booking session?
For all sessions are required to pay the full session fee at booking. Unless another arrangement was arranged and approved. An electronically signed signature will be required on the contract that will be sent virtually to the email that you provide.
Will I recieve a print release?
Yes! All my sessions include a Print Release that you can take to any company you please. You will also receive sharing rights so you can display your images on social media.
Do you travel for your sessions?
Yes, I do. There will be a travel fee regarding where you would like your session to take place.
What happens if we go over the contracted amount of time?
We understand that not everything goes as planned. I will ask you at the end of your contracted time whether or not you would like to extend. If you would like us to stay, I will charge the rates specified in your contract rounded to the closest thirty-minute increment. This is fair to both parties.
What if I lose my images?
There is a replacement charge for additional downloads after the event has been archived. We strongly suggest you make at least one copy of the download when you receive it from us.
How do I set up an appointment to meet you in person and see some of your work?
You are welcome to meet with me for an in-person consultation. Please contact me via email or phone to schedule.
How do I reserve you for my date?
All dates are reserved once we receive your signed contract and your session is paid in full.
Do you do destination weddings? What additional fees are associated with destination weddings?
While Captured Moments Photography is based out of Las Cruces, New Mexico, we serve clients all around the world. Our destination wedding photography packages include the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations.
Do you offer Video Services?
No, I provide photography only. I prefer to do the absolute best job and provide the absolute highest quality of work for you. I would be more than happy to give you referrals of excellent videographers who share a similar mindset.
How long will it take to see my photos?
Engagement and family photos will be available for online viewing approximately three weeks after the shoot. Weddings normally take 4-6 weeks.
It is an issue if you never worked at our venue before?
This is not an issue. As a professional, it is my job to take any location, whether I've shot there before or not, and give you unique and stunning portraits. I feel very confident in my skills to show up anywhere and provide the best quality work possible. If you feel more comfortable doing a walk-through before the wedding to tell me some ideas you have or hear some of mine, that is something I do encourage and would love to participate in.
As a client, are we supposed to tip you for your services?
If you are more than happy with everything I've done, and you feel I have gone above and beyond then please feel free to tip me for my services. Tips are always welcomed and appreciated.
How long will my session take?
Outdoor portrait sessions last approximately 60 minutes. These times vary depending on how many people are included in the photographs, the style of the session, and the age of your children. However, we can add additional time for a fee as well.
What if it rains on the day of my outdoor shoot?
I don’t cancel a shoot unless it is raining during your session time. Oftentimes, the lighting during weather that isn’t perfect is better for photography. A cloudy day is a good thing for a lot of the work we do. So unless it is really bad, plan on still having your shoot. I will be watching the weather and will contact you as soon as we know if we are going to have to cancel. We will make the proper arrangements for a re-shoot.
Do you offer Photography Certificates?
Yes! They make exceptional gifts for new parents, birthday gifts, and more. To purchase one, please contact me.
What time do you do your photoshoots?
Hours vary based on sundown or sunrise. I like to shoot at Golden hour or an hour after sunrise. If you need a photo shoot at another time know that the lighting can be harsh.
Can I pick out a new location?
Yes! If you have a location in mind other than the ones I normally shoot at let me know. I will do my best to accommodate you but please know if it is over 50 miles then a fee will be added.
Can I extend the session the day of?
Most likely yes but not always guaranteed! I have multiple clients a day, but I try my best to accommodate.
